European Movement in Serbia and the Center for Foreign Policy are organizing the presentation of the New Foreign Policy Initiative signed by thirteen civil society organizations in Serbia.

The presentation will take place on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in the Media Center (Terazije 3), 12.00 pm to 1.30 pm.

The New Foreign Policy Initiative of civil society is addressed to representatives of the government and the opposition, and it calls for reaching a wide national consensus on foreign political positioning of Serbia and its international position.

The four points of the Initiative refer to the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, intensification of European integration of Serbia, improvement of relations with neighbors in the region and cooperation with NATO.

The initiative remains open to other civil society organizations, and until now, Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence, the Center for Regionalism, Center for Foreign Policy, European Movement in Serbia – Novi Sad, European Movement in Serbia, Forum for Security and Democracy, Forum for International Relations of the European Movement in Serbia, Helsinki Committee for Human Rights, Institute for European Affairs, ISAC Fund, Center for Contemporary Policy – European Western Balkans, Center for Applied European Studies, and Council for Strategic Policy.

Representatives of initiators and signatories will speak at the event, among which:

  • Ms. Suzana Grubješić, Secretary General, European Movement in Serbia,
  • Mr. Dragan Đukanović, President, Center for Foreign Policy.
