The Business Women Association was registered on July 30, 1998 in Belgrade as the Association of Citizens with a key objective to provide connecting of business women on the local, regional, national, and international plans.
The Association consists of women of different professions. Most of the members showed ability of independent operating. Most of them have their small but successful firms; a number is on the verge of entering successful business; and the greatest potential of the Association presents creative and ambitious women who succeeded in realizing some of their entrepreneurship ideas the framework of the Association for relatively short period of time. It is about educative programs which are framed by the members themselves, but also about other aspects of activities such as expositions of women creations and similar. There is a whole treasury of interesting ideas in the Association thanking top the fact that women accepted the Association as their place where they can freely and without barriers to enunciate their potentials.
Special value of the Association presents its dispersion to small cities in the province so the membership is not located only in metropolis. It enables easier and more effective regulating of the projects which we realize in the cooperation with the local women associations.
The Association is connected regionally with similar associations, which gets on importance especially after the managed democratic changes in FR Yugoslavia. It facilitates functioning of the Association as non-governmental organization and enables realization of projects with partner organizations in the region. During the two-year existence the Association books series of interesting projects which were realized with support of different donors for women projects.
