The Regional Coordinators

In accordance with decentralization as the basic principle of organization, the local councils are autonomous and free in planning their activities while following the fundamental values of EMinS. Inequality in functioning of the local councils, which in great measure, if not absolutely, depends on contribution and capabilities of individuals, derives from this generally democratic and decentralized notion. The concept of EMinS is that its members in the local councils have the best possible insight in state within the local community. In that way, the members of the local communities will have the best ideas for improvement of social-economic situation and proposals for advancing lives of their co-citizens.

Despite, the growing capacities of EMinS and therefore, capabilities for realization of branchy and original projects inflicted a need for better coordination. Consequently, EMinS changed its Statute introducing a provision for replacing the existing Regional Councils with the institution of the Regional Coordinators.

The Regional Coordinators function as a necessary link between the central office in Belgrade and the local councils in the provinces, enable an absolute insight in the situation on the terrain, animate the local councils, inform local council about the realization of the projects of EMinS, plan activities, and finally, implement coordination at the regional level. The Regional Coordinators have a role in assisting the local councils in formulating and enforcing their initiatives. One of the key roles of the Regional Coordinators is the identification of local initiatives and contribution to development and broadening of the network of local councils of EMinS.

Through above-mentioned changes, EMinS has furthered cooperation at all levels of created authentically functional and effective network.

On the other side, EMinS and its project managers have a duty to introduce its local councils in the planned projects and inform them about the future activities providing in that way informative, expert, and other kinds of support. The network of local councils and the institution of the Regional Coordinators will be strengthened through concrete projects.
