Suspension of functioning of the Commission for Protection of Bidders

We consider that the resign of the President of the Commission for Protection of Bidders, Mr. Aleksandar Lukic, submitted due to "Belgrade Airport" case, leads toward anarchy and legal insecurity in the delicate segment of public procurement system.

We demand from Serbian Government President and Finance Minister immediate reaction and protection of both legality and rule of law.

Resign of the President of the Commission jeopardizes the whole public procurement system and leads directly toward legal insecurity. According to the Government’s endeavours to constitute Rule of Law and stability of institutions in Serbia, we underline that it is necessary for the Commission for Protection of Bidders to be independent in its functioning and elected by Parliament.
