Regarding Adoption of the Law on Free Access to Information

European movement in Serbia welcomes adoption of the Law on free access to information. The adoption of this law decreases the possibility of covering up lacks in work, non acting and inefficiency. It is our opinion that this law will restore already shaken trust of citizens in the work of public authorities.

The adoption of this law will contribute to further development of democratic processes and reforms in our society, and will in the same time help fulfilling the European standards and values.

We request that the access to information is made possible practically through improving the system of document management, which will have as a goal the full transparency of the work of state authorities
