Press conference has been organized on the occasion of the beginning of "It rings for Europe" programme in Novi Sad

Fifth generation of highschoolars has started with activities within school of european integration "It rings for Europe!". High schools from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Novi Pazar and Subotica are participating within project from this autumn.

18.05 - 05.02.2009.
"Europe classes" have been held

08.04.2009.
High scholars from Belgrade high schools has visited House of Parliament of Republic of Serbia. Welcome speech has been given by MP Laslo Varga, president of Committee for European integration.

07.04.2009.
Participants of program from Belgrade High schools have visited European Union integration office. They discussed with Mr. Srdjan Majstorovic, deputy director, about SAA and other issues concerning EU integrations.

"European cafe" - Mr. Martin Bielik, diplomat from Embassy of Republic of Slovakia has discussed with the participants of program about EU integrations.

Draft: basic idea of this project is to inform and educate group of scholars (third and fourth year fromBelgrade’ highschools and from towns Novi Sad, Subotica and Novi Pazer) about values, structure, history, youth policy and lifestyle in EU. Beside this issues, part of lecturers will be focused on process of association of Republic of Serbia to EU and on necessity of youth social activism as one way of supporting and preparing Serbian society for EU. Visits to state institutions involved in EU integrations are enclosed within project.

Aims

  • Raising awareness of highscholars about main aspects of  EU  through promotion of democratic values and ideas which are characteristic for EU countries.
  • Raising awareness about necessity of youth social activism as one way of supporting and preparing Serbian society for membership in European Union.
  • Raising level of knowledge of youth about European Union.
  • Introduction of benefits for youth in EU joining process.
  • Informing young people about Serbian’s path to EU.

Activities

  • Lectures – Lecturers will be held one’s in a week in premises of European movement in Serbia. Lecturers are from EMinS expert team,
  • Euro class” after a finishing two month lecturers highscholars in cooperation with lecturers from EMinS, will prepare and held a special class dedicated to European union in their schools.
  • “European caffe” – discussions with young diplomats from EU countries about lifestyle, culture,customs etc. in EU.
  • Visits to state institutions – participants of the project will have an exclusive chance to visit state institutions and discuss with state officials and MP’s about various topics concerning EU.
  • Writing and publishing of essays – Participants of project will write their impressions and thought about EU in form of essay. These essays will be published on EMINS web page in pdf
