Ljubljana Agenda
for new phase of the Stabilization and Association Process
European Movement in Serbia (EMinS) will jointly with six partners from the Western Balkan region start up national and regional debates about proposal for the new phase of the Stabilization and Association Process from December 1st 2007 until May 31st 2008.
Republic of Slovenia is taking over Presidency over the Council of EU from January 1st until June 31st 2008. This is the opportunity for the countries of the Western Balkans to raise the issue of advancing the EU enlargement efforts within and towards the region.
The group of think tanks from the region gathered around the project “Regional Framework for Development and European Integration” decided to continue successful cooperation and to launch an Agenda for Slovenian Presidency providing impetus for faster integration of the region into the EU. "Ljubljana Agenda" will be presented to national and European stakeholders and wider public in order to initiate region-wide debate and build up consensus on the position of the region and necessary steps to be taken towards the EU membership.
