FOREIGN POLICY OF SERBIA – WOMEN’S SEAL
European Movement in Serbia, Forum for International Relations of the European Movement in Serbia, Women’s Parliamentary Network and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organises Conference ” Serbian Foreign Policy – a Women’s Seal “ which will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 10:00 to 17:00 at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, in a small hall (13 Nikola Pasic Square).
Women have taken some of the very important roles in the Serbian foreign policy, and are placed on key positions in the civil service, parliament, public agencies, expert organizations, and the media and significantly influence Serbian international relations. Therefore, they do bear a great responsibility and make important decisions that affect the position of Serbia in Europe, the region and beyond.
This conference is organized, therefore, to point out the growing role of women and to jointly promote their achievements and changes in circumstances that made it possible, and also to talk about the problems and challenges that exist in foreign policy.
During the conference we intend to bring together political and other public figures and experts from different fields (relations with the European Union, International Organizations, bilateral foreign relations, etc.). We believe that this conference will contribute not only to better mutual introduction of participants, but also to consideration of issues that the foreign policy of Serbia is facing and the challenges that await us in the future.
