The magazine ,,Smart regions“, prepared by the National Convention on the European Union and the European Movement in Serbia, is dedicated to the Cluster 5: Resources, Cohesion and Agriculture. It is itended to inform decision-makers, professional public and citizens about the process of negotiations with the European Union when it comes to regional and rural development, regional policy of the EU, regional policy of Serbia, as well as the costs and benefits of Serbia’s entry into the European Union.
The purpose of the magazine is to raise awareness of the need for support for the preparation of smart specialization strategies in all regions of the Republic of Serbia, based on the best practices of the EU, as well as the basics of the Smart Specialization Strategy in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2020. to 2027.
The aim of the magazine ,,Smart regions“ is to contribute to the creation of conditions for the even development of regions in Serbia, based on knowledge. NCEU, as well as Emins, by publishing this magazine, advocate the process of negotiation of Serbia’s accession to the European Union, which is based on the close cooperation of state’s institutions, business, academia and civil society (quadruple helix) in the process of creating policies at the regional and local level.
The example of the magazine itself showed how valuable and effective this concept of cooperation is in encouraging important social processes.
