Due to the tragic events, unprecedented in the recent history of Serbia, the European Movement in Serbia will postpone the Europe Day celebration to May 23 at 18:00. We will mark the Europe Day in Dorćol Platz, Dobračina 59b.

AGENDA

  • 18:00 – 18:30 Contribution of the Year to Europe award (we will announce the names of the winners in due time).
  • 18:30 – 19:15 European talks. Our guests will be the ambassador of Portugal in Serbia, H.E. Ms. Maria Virgínia Mendes da Silva Pina, and former ambassador of Serbia in Portugal, vice-president of EMinS, Duško Lopandić. They will comment on the video material we made in Lisbon.

With these European talks, we will announce the project we are working on, which is “questioning” EU citizens whether they want and see Serbia in the EU. We will visit the capitals of the member states, talk to their citizens, and ask them all the same questions that the citizens of Portugal answered first. The visit to Lisbon was made possible by the Delegation of the EU in Serbia, who invited us to join the group of Serbian journalists on their trip to Lisbon, within the Pulse of Europe project.

  • 19:30 – 21:30 Movie night.

Eight Mountains movie is the winner of the jury award at the Cannes Festival in 2022. It is a story about togetherness and friendship and all the challenges they are faced with.

We invite you to join us in marking Europe Day–this year to the glory of peace and togetherness. If you wish to do so, please register.
