Last Saturday, October 27th, mentors and mentees of the “Share Your Knowledge” program held an evaluation meeting titled “And for the End: Networking!” This is also the penultimate event for the program with discussion on the most important moments during the program that were significant for mentors and the mentored. The meeting was a good opportunity for them to communally look back on what they accomplished in the previous period with planning steps to come.

The evaluation meeting was opened with Svetlana Stefanović, Project Manager with the European Movement in Serbia reminding of the very active ten month period since the project started, encompassing intense work not just with the mentors but on communal activities – roundtables and workshops.

Meeting participants spoke of their most impactful impressions from the program and the best and the most challenging moments for them in the program, but also in their professional and private lives. They reflected on what they’ve learned together, on what was missing but also rated the fulfillment of what they wanted at the start of the program. They highlighted that expectations are our biggest friend and enemies. This makes being realistic in our expectations a good way to achieve more but to also not allow disappointment to lock us out and make us quit. They underlined opportunities to get to know great women from various professional fields and make acquaintances and friend as the programs greatest benefit.

The mentors and the mentored kept up their networking in a fun way and kept discovering new things about each other.

From January to October 2018, every last Saturday of the month had roundtables and/or workshops convened for all project participants with topics defined along with interests of project attendees, along with various outside events. This period saw the organization of:

  • 3 workshops – on personal introductions, digital marketing, and managing finances; on time management, and bringing out personal strengths along with communication and public performance;
  • 2 roundtables – on the relevance of the cultural heritage of women (with a walk along the New Cemetery, dedicated to famous women resting there,) but also on entrepreneurs (with playing ThreeP social games);
  • 2 public events – the mentor walk and a debate on women in politics in Subotica with a visit to the Women’s Center of Užice
